It was more than an unveiling ceremony in Funsi, it was a powerful celebration of identity, culture, and purpose.
As Wiyaala was officially unveiled as Fugu Ambassador and Tourism Ambassador, the atmosphere reflected deep admiration and pride from her people. Traditional leaders, community members, and supporters gathered in large numbers to honour a woman whose journey has become a symbol of resilience, authenticity, and cultural pride.
For nearly two decades, Wiyaala has consistently carried Ghana’s culture onto global stages through music, fashion, and storytelling. Long before this official recognition, she had already become one of the strongest promoters of fugu, proudly wearing and showcasing the rich heritage of Northern Ghana across the world.

But beyond music and international recognition lies a deeper story of impact. Wiyaala’s investment in Funsi, her commitment to supporting women and children, and her dedication to community development reveal a woman determined to give back to her roots. Her work in promoting sustainable cultural heritage and community empowerment continues to inspire many young people across Ghana and beyond.

Wiyaala represents a new generation of African tourism ambassadors — individuals using culture, creativity, and identity as tools for national development and global influence.
This honour is not only a recognition of her artistic excellence; it is a celebration of a woman who turned culture into influence and heritage into hope.
Congratulations to Wiyaala on this well-deserved recognition. Ghana’s story continues to shine through voices like hers.
