The Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM) has hosted the maiden Ghana AgroTech Fair 2026, a major national initiative aimed at promoting innovation, technology, and investment in Ghana’s agricultural sector. The three-day event, scheduled from March 17 to 19 at Independence Square in Accra, is designed to showcase modern agricultural technologies and locally developed solutions to drive agribusiness transformation.
Organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, the fair serves as a strategic platform to highlight agricultural machinery, agro-processing equipment, climate-smart technologies, and digital tools that can enhance productivity and reduce post-harvest losses. The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader agenda of strengthening industrialisation and expanding export-led growth through agriculture.
According to the Chief Executive of GEXIM, Sylvester Adinam Mensah, the event aims to catalyse partnerships, attract investment, and accelerate the adoption of locally driven agricultural innovations across the country. The fair will feature exhibitions, technical demonstrations, expert panel discussions, policy dialogues, and business-to-business networking sessions designed to foster collaboration within the agribusiness ecosystem.
The event is expected to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including farmers, fishers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, technology developers, researchers, investors, policymakers, and development partners. Through these engagements, organisers hope to create practical solutions that strengthen Ghana’s agricultural value chain and improve competitiveness in regional and global markets.
President John Dramani Mahama, along with key government officials and industry leaders, is expected to attend the fair, underscoring the government’s commitment to building a modern, technology-driven agricultural sector.
